Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
MY DR JUST PRESCRIBED RAMAPRIL BUT I DONT THINK I SHOULD TAKE IT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE , ALWAYS 120 OVER 70-80 AND I TAKE JANUMET FOR DIABETIS II , HE SAID BECAUSE THE JANUMET COULD CAUSE KIDNEY PROBLEMS SO HE THINKS ARE SHOULD TAKE THIS FOR PRECAUTIONS,
As a physician I would like to tell you that your doc war right as Tab janumet can lead to renal impairment. On the other hand they are very rare or minimal with Ramipril.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
