Does Intake Of I Pill Cause Irregularity In Periods?
Can I pill cause early period ????Me and my fiancé had sex on 9 august....as her last periods were on 2 august but after sex she had took a I pill on 10 august and we had fingering on 16 august not sex....now on today 18 august she started again periods bleeding and its low bleeding.... 15 days early than her normal schedule of 28 days cycle....so is it side effect of I pill or due to fingering ???? Can this harm her body And what can be her next period date ????
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. After going through the description, what she has experienced is right after taking i pill. It is not that i pill has affected her periods not fingering has caused it. i pill is an emergency contraceptive pill, which needs to be taken within 48 hours of unprotected intercourse. It prevents pregnancy by causing withdrawal bleeding in the form of periods. Bleeding can happen anytime within 3 weeks from the day the pill has taken. When it happens, it is sure that pregnancy has not occurred. By this, naturally her periods would shift early or late. From next periods onward, it should happen regularly in the form of 28 days cycle. Hope the information provided is clear. All the best.
