Does Intake Of Ex-Lax And Gas-X Chewable Tablets Help In Curing IBS?

My husband hasn t had a bowel movement since last Sunday! He s had pain rt lower abdomen and rt lower back which radiates down the rt leg! Today he s taken 4 ex lax chews and 2 gas ex. I m concerned because he has pressure but nothing comes out what should he do?!

Here you are having constipation...
Presentation is sudden....
So need to be investigated....
First organic obstructive cause searched for...

For that USG and x ray helpful....
It might reveal intestinal obstruction or bends and adhesion.
You should consult gastroentetologist for proper investigation...

If needed endoscopy might needed.

If it is simple constipation without organic cause then laxative needed like dulcolax.
Fiber supplement also given...
More water.
And soft diet taken for few days....
