Does Increase In Dosage Cause Dizziness And Rise In Blood Pressure?

im on metoprolol for blood pressure and pac. I increased my dose from 50 mg twice per day to 75 mg twice per day last night. I noticed this morning a couple of hours after my dose that I started to feel alittle dizzy and nauseous also a little nerveous. I checked my blood pressure and it was high 150 over 106. Its never that high. didn t know if it could be from the nervousness or what.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Increase in dose of antihypertensive can cause dizziness initially. Your high blood pressure may be due to your anxiety and nervousness. So you consult your physician and check the blood pressure again. Also set the dose of antihypertensive accordingly.
