my doctor as told me I ave an overact a very bad cough like asmaive thyroid which I have been suffering for years my old doctor was treating me for a hyporactive thyroid was treating me for wrong illness I take my new meds 3 times a day he doesn t go in to detail wot I have if I don t take my meds or miss I know why get a very bad coughing fit come on like a asma attack when take meds it seems to go then don t ave any coughing fits is this to do with tyroid ave I got graves deasease thanks not had cough since had meds if miss I ave a attack don t know if related to tyroid

First I would like to say rule out correct thyroid problem by simple following test .... 1.Blood TSH 2.Blood T3 , T4 3.FNAC from thyroid
If graves disease present and TSH low than drugs for that given like propylthiouracil.....
Here asthma like attack not related to thyroid ....
If you have repeated allergic inflammation than spirometry done for it .... It will diagnose asthma as well as guide in treatment ... For repeated asthma attack inhaler might be started .....
Consult physician with keeping this in mind ....
