Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Hormonal imbalance can be a cause of abnormal uterine bleeding.
The tests of endocrine function are performed based upon the history and physical examination findings.
The necessary tests to undestand if there is any hormonal imbalance in the basis of your problem are:
-Thyroid function tests
-Prolactin level
-Androgen levels (in women with signs of androgen excess like hirsutism, virilism or policistic ovary syndrome).
-Estrogen levels (should be considered if an adnexal mass is present)
-
Follicle-stimulating hormone or
luteinizing hormone (FSH,LH0 in women with suspected
hypothalamic dysfunction due to poor nutrition or intense exercise).
My advice is to meet an
endocrinologist for the hormonal tests and an
obgyn for the other necessary invesatigations of abnormal utenine bleeding and the right treatement for this problem.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM.
Wish you good health.
