Does Headache And Fatigue After Head Injury Require Medical Attention?

Hiya, i hit my head on sunday afternoon pretty hard at the front of my head. Ever since then, i have suffered really bad headaches, pain behind my eyes, tiredness, and now 4 days on i still have a bad headache at the back of my head on the right side. Do you suggest i go to the doctors or anything else?

From your description you may have suffered a concussion. Or you simply may be suffering from post-traumatic headaches. In either case, an evaluation by a doctor trained in headache medicine or head trauma certainly can't hurt. It's best to get on top of these types of headaches and treat them aggressively at this stage when it's early and they can be more easily controlled rather than waiting to see if they will go away on their own. Sometimes they do but sometimes they don't and you may then, enter the TWILIGHT ZONE so to speak of chronic headaches....You do not want that!

I am a headache specialist and treat traumatic head injuries all the time in military personnel. If you would like to pose more questions more specifically about your situation feel free to look me up and send me direct queries at:
