General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the report you have enclosed, it says that your partner is having polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID).
Intact, both of them would cause delay in conceiving and both are treatable conditions. Only thing is, you need to have patience as PCOD might take a little longer time and regular follow-up is necessary to show the results.
PID can be treated by administration of antibiotics. However, after its treatment, you need to confirm that the tubes do not have adhesions or block by means of HSG.
PCOD is treated with multiple drugs in the following way:
1. Regularisation of menstrual cycles by using birth control pills.
2. Ovulation induction by using Metformin and Clomifen citrate.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
