Does Fracture Or Dislocation Of The 5th Metacarpal Base Require Plaster ?

i have a small nondisplaced fracture of base of fifth metacarpal . Outpatient ER immobilized it in ortho glass should it be put in a plaster cast.

in nondisplaced fracture plaster plaster may not required.
But better immobilization you may go for plaster.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and let him decide after clinical examination of your metacarpal fracture situation.
