Does Flickering Fever Along With Cough And Ear Infection Mean Viral Infection And What Should Be The Relevant Medicine ?

my daughter is 5 and she has had a fever for 24 hours and has had ear ache and coughing,(she coughing is like a adult) and my 16 month has had a fever for 48 hours and coughing bad. there fever keeps going up and down and i been giving her motron and tylenal and she is waking up all hours of night crying and screaming. doctors here think its a viral infection . help pls

Your elder daughter is suffering from upper respiratory tract infection mostly bacterial as she is having pain in ear.By spreading through air and contact both got infection.
You consult your pediatrician as soon as possible and start the treatment.
