Does Drug Abuse Cause Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

i think my boyfriend has been using crystal and for the last couple of months is displaying signs of arthritis and/or carple tunnel syndrom that is progressively getting worse. for as quickly as it came on, i am thinking there is a link with drug use. he won't admit his use ---but i know. he has been given the ultimatum there, but i am more concerned with the loss of use of his hand, and the pain he is in. Help?!!!

Certainly if someone injects or otherwise has trauma to the nerve involved in carpal tunnel then that is going to connect the two. Otherwise it isn't that common.
If it is a circulatory problem then it will look like one with discoloration, change in color, change in temperature, etc.
