Does Consumption Of Carbimazole-10 Results In Weight Gain?
Hi, i have been diagnosed with both Graves disease and hashimotos disease, the doctor has me on 10mg of carbimazole daily, i go to the gym a couple of times a week and following a 1400 calorie diet. My issue is i am putting on weight, i have read that this could be a side effect of the medication. Is there something else i can do to lose weight whilst on these tablets?

You have hyperthyroidism. You are taking antithyroid drug carbimazole. It can leads to drug induced hypothyroidism and weight gain.
So check your TSH level and set the dosage accordingly.
