Hello and welcome to HCM,
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease.
It causes sexually transmitted disease called lymphogranulosum venerum (LGV).
LGV is characterized by painful lymphadenopathy. Chlamydial infection can cause infertility in long term.
If one partner is suffering from chlamydial infection, it is possible to transmit the infection to the partner.
Barrier method is the best method to avoid chlamydial infection or any other STD.
Once infected, one should take complete anti-chlamydial infection.
Sexual contact should be resumed only when the infection completely clears away.
Get yourself checked for chlamydial infection.
If negative, you can resume sexual activity.
If test is positive, you need to take treatment and your partner also needs treatment.

Thanks and take care
