Does Bruised, Swollen And Painful Leg After A Fall Suggest Broken Bone?

I fell and hit my leg yesterday about an inch and half from my knee more to the side. It is bruised and swollen. It hurts to walk on after I have been sitting for more than ten minutes. But after I walk on it a few minutes it doesn t hurt as bad. Could it just be bruised really bad or could I have broke something? I didn t hit right a bone.

HI

Thanks for posting your query.

It seems like just a bruise but even bruise needs medical attention. Any wound you need to get Tetanus shot ( if not taken in past 3 years ). Also it needs to be examined to check whether there are an signs of infections or not.

So it is better for you to consult your doctor and get checked.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .

Regards.
