Does Brown Watery Bleeding Signify No Ovulation?

Hello dr, I have had a tubal patency done on Monday 26th aug 2013 and this morning 28th aug 2013 have found brown watery like blood. Should I be concerned? Does this mean I have missed ovulation? I have poly cyst overies, irregular periods. Last two months was normal. Came off clomid earlier this year.

Hi,
The discharge is usually secondary to the procedure performed. It does not denote ovulation. During the procedure, some amount of dye is injected into the tubes to test for patency and this usually gets spilled into the peritoneum if the tubes are patent and a part is discharged out through the uterus. You may have an abnormal period this cycle owing to the procedure; sometimes spontaneous ovulation and conception has been observed following tubal patency tests in PCOD. Hope this helps.
