Does Azithromyicene, prednisone Recommended For Upper Respiratory Infection Have Side Effects?

Today, I began taking prednisone and azithromyicene after having allergic reaction to Cefdiner 300 MG, which was prescribed two days ago for an upper respiratory bacterial infection-bronchitis. Within a couple of hours of taking the recommended dosages of prednisone and az... Z-pac, I began to experience some numbness sensation on the left side of my upper lip. At @ 9:00 tonight, I took the next recommended dosage of prednisone, but no Z-pac, as I had my first day dosage earlier as mentioned. Is the numbness sensation in my upper lip related to either of these medications, and will it go away before or at least after I complete the medication protocols?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Neither Azithromycin nor prednisone causes numbness of lip.
Azithromycin however can cause angioedema of lips.
