Does Antacid Pills Help Cure Cough And Acid Reflux?

I woke up in the middle of the night with coughing and really bad acid reflux, felt like I had to vomit but nothing came up. The burning in my throat is almost unbearable, like I can t even breathe very well. I took one antacid pill. Would two pills help? My email is YYYY@YYYY

Antacids will help you lower down your gastric acid levels, thus reducing its reflux. Cough suppressant is not required as cough occurs when acid irritates your throat. You must be taking Omeprazole capsules 40mg once daily or 20mg twice daily. To avoid reflux, do not lie down immediately after taking meals. Avoid heavy meal intake.
