Does Adenoids Enlargement Have Better Treatment Options?

Hi,
My daughter is 3.11 years old and she was reported with Enlargement of adenoids past 9 months back and we started the Montek LC Kid and Metatop spray for 3 months and Montek 4 for another 3 months and lastly with Nasonex spray but the enlargement has not reduced after an xray. Doctor suggested to go for a surgery.
Will my child be affected with the surgery as they give anesthesia and i heard that there will be blood flowing from nose after surgery, is that true. Is there any surgery which is hi tech and less harmful and gets healed early?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi
first of all the age of the child is very less for the surgery, the decision whether to do the surgery depends upon the symptoms of your daughter.
if the symptoms are severe then only it is recommended to do the surgery.
and yes there is a method which causes less bleeding and less morbidity to the patient that is surgery by coblator method.
i would suggest you to discuss in detail with your ent specialist about the indication for the surgery and the methods to do them.
regards
