Does Abnormal WBC Count While Suffering From Flu Refer To Leukemia?

I have been sick, flu like symptoms for 4 mos with no more than 2 healthy weeks in between viruses or infections. My WBC count is 24000, however I seem to have no immune system. I am being referred to a hematologist and I'm scared about what I'm going to find out. All my research so far leads to some form of leukemia. Your thoughts?

a raised WBC might be just the indicator of onging body response to infection. without a full differential count and other blood parameteres, its hard to drive a conclusion. your persistent flu like symptoms certainly need evaluation. meet the hematologist but dont get prejudiced for any diagnosis.
