Does A Knee Throb Due To Arthroscopic Patella Reconstruction?

Upper right side of left knee throbs visibly and at different speeds. Feels weak when I walk after the tremors. Throbbing occurs in same spot but periodically ceases. The throbbing is continuous between one and ten minutes, stops, and then continues once more. Only occurs while I am sitting down and when knee is bent. Twitches/throbs often throughout day. No discoloration. No previous injury to this knee. No temperature difference or swelling. I had a arthroscopic patella reconstruction on the opposite knee last May. Perhaps issues are from overuse. No pain while walking. If throbbing continues long enough it starts to ache but is not painful in use.

General Surgeon 's  Response

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
I reviewed facts of your query in context to your health issues and feel concerned about them.

My Opinion-
In My opinion, in the given situation you seem to suffer from-Arthritis of left Knee joint, from overuse, due to reflex protection of arthroscopic right knee joint repair done lately in your case.
This could be from accompanied synovitis with grannulation mass in left joint from overuse arthritis.
But the extent of damage needs to be assessed with Consults from Ortho-Surgeon after X-ray and primary checks from Family doctor.

Do's Suggested-
Take Rest for a week,
Avoid pressing and using more of left knee while walking.
Anti-inflammatory medicines /
High protein / High Calcium with Vit D3 and magnesium/ zinc supplements, for proper nourishment of joint, ligaments and muscles around the affected knee joints.
Local Diclofenac gel to control aches in muscles/ capsule and ligaments in both knee joints, would help to reduce long term side effects from use of Anti-inflammatory medicines.

Other causes need to be ruled out, after getting more details from you.

Next appointment-
Asap to review and plan the treatment for existing problem .

If you update more information/ details upon these suggestions, I would give further suggestions on medicines to correct your health issues.
