Hello,
The UPEP or the SPEP are tests done upon the Urine (UPEP) or the Serum samples (SPEP) to detect proteins. The Nicotine test also called as Cotinine test, which is used to detect the levels of Cotinine, a product of tobacco smoking . The Cotinine levels varies with smokers and non smokers and basically this is tested in the Urine using a kit that is available in only few specific laboratories across India. Thus, the UPEP or SPEP is not the test to identify the Nicotine or Cotinine. I hope this answers your query and would be glad to answer if you have any other queries with regard to the Cotinine test.

Thank You and Take Care.
