General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the Thyroxine and the fertility issue.

A good thyroid function is necessary for fertility, the ability to conceive and to maintain a pregnancy.
The efficacy of Thyroxine is monitored by periodic lab test TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) the normal value of which is 0.4 - 4 mIU/L.
The dosage of Thyroxine can be adjusted accordingly.
For optimum fertility, your TSH level should be between 1 - 2 mIU/L.

If your TSH level is well maintained, it is unlikely for you to gain the body weight and also the pregnancy.

Hope this answers your query.
