I get a few sinus infections a year. I saw nurse prac today and she told me to see an ENT because I had an infection in January. I've already had surgery for a deviated septum. My current infection was from acute allergy attack last week. I also made the mistake of taking leftover prednisone from my father because the swelling was unbelievable the last few days. The NP also told me I had a few extra beats when she took my pulse and monitored my heart. Is that normal for prednison? I saw it might be a side effect. Also, how many sinus infections are too many in one year? What else can I do? Home remedies like nasal wash put fluid in my ears, Nothing else seems to work besides antibiotics.
YES IT DOES.! Hello... You should see an ENT doctor for sure. Normaly you should not have a sinus infection at all during a year....but if you have more than 3 you should see an ENT , make a CT scan of the paranasal sinusis and than he will decide if you need to be treated with antibiotics and cortisonics or you need to do a sinus surgery ( FESS) which i prefer in case of a Chronic Sinusitis. Anyway.... in one way or another you should not have sinusites anymore. Wish you the best...!
