Does Postinor Taken Immediately After Intercourse Prevent Pregnancy?

My girlfriend took 2 postinor-2 tablets this morning after we had sex. I ejaculated outside of her. Her period ends like the night before we had sex. We took them within one hour after sex. Will it cause any harm? I plan on taking 1 or 2 more this evening. Should we? How can we minimize the chance of pregnancy? Please help us. Thank you.

Postinor-2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. It prevent pregnancy by prevention of implantation of fertilized egg on uterus. It has success of 95 % if taken within 24 hours of intercourse. As you have ejaculated outside vagina this minimize chances of pregnancy even further.
Your girlfriend shouldn't take any more pill now. Use condom or regular contraceptive pill as method of conception in future. Taking more emergency contraceptive pills can cause problems like irregular periods, ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome & even infertility.
