General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As a physician I would like to tell you that Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive and thus it should be used as a Emergency only. It does have high amount of hormones and thus it does cause some menstrual abnormalities in the patients. I would suggest you should use another regular contraceptive like OC Pills.

I would also suggest that you should take a home UPT test and whatever may be the result visit a MD Obgy doctor if you continue to miss your periods for more than 2 months.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
