Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Change in menstrual bleeding, usually lighter periods or sometimes stopping of periods, Menstrual spotting or breakthrough bleeding are some of the side effects of microgynon not heavy bleeding.I will suggest you see your Gynecologist to evaluate the cause of heavy and prolonged bleeding.A pelvic ultrasound may be very useful.Possible causes may include PID/STI, pelvic masses, pregnancy related complications.
Hope this will help
Best regards
