Does Metformin Cause Darkening Of Breasts And Areolas?

Can metformin cause veins in your breasts and your areolas to get darker? My nipples also look bigger. I stopped taking it about a month ago because I was forgeting. Now I m a week late for my period and all negative hpts. I called the doctor and they said not to bother until Iget a positive. Could I be pregnant or is it just my body changing?

welcome to hcm,
According to the best of my knowledge Metformin is not the cause of your areolas and breasts getting darker. instead metformin causes you menstruation cycle regular and it is used in the treatment of infertility.
it is also used in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
pregnancy card test is performed after a week of your missed periods.
hope this explains.
with regards
Dr.Amarnath
