Does Metformin And Lipitor Cause Increased Fatigue And Muscle Weakness?

I have CAD, Fibromyalgia & Type 2 Diabetes. My doctors just switched me to Metformin ER, decreased my glimiperide to 4mg/d, & switched me to Lipitor instead of Simvastatin. Also took me off of HCTZ. In 2nd week of new regimen and experiencing increasing fatigue, also increased feeling of muscle weakness. Is this most likely due to the med changes, and what can I do about it? This is starting to interfere with my ability to function during the day because I can t stay awake & have no energy. Sorry - cannot continue - cannot pay at this time.

I really appreciate your concern regarding your fatigue and muscle weakness.
Increasing fatigue and muscle weakness are due the side effects of Lipitor. Metformin and Glimiperide are not associated with muscle weakness.

Kindly consult your doctor for this new problem so that he will prescribe alternate medicine for your elevated cholesterol.
