Does Marijuana Help Relieve Stress During Pregnancy?

Hi I m 16 weeks pregnant and have been smoking marijuana for about four years. I tried to quick when I first found out I was pregnant. I picked smoking back up when I stopped eating and the body pain was unbearable. I live in new York and have been told I would lose my baby if I test positive for thc. What should I do I don t want to lose my baby but I don t want to put any stress on it with quitting and lose my appetite?

Hope it may help
I am sorry to put it like this but you have clearly put your baby in danger by continuing smoking marijuana. The symptoms you were experiencing were withdrawal effects. What you must have done was to seek help while you decided to quit smoking or when you started having symptoms.
though there is no evidence that proves THC causes birth defects, there can be chances it can make you go into early labor or possibly effect your child’s brain development.
What you can do now is to reduce the frequency of smoking as much as possible without compromising your appetite and health.do discuss this with your ob/gynae doctor on next visit. For now you can join a support group and indulge yourself into activities to keep yourself busy and away from pot.lastly do your best to stop smoking weed after the delivery.
I will be happy to know if it was helpful. You can approach us anytime with another query
