Does MCBM DHA Or Feris Increases The Iron Content Of A Pregnant Woman?

Hi Doctor, Iam Uzma and Iam in 12th week of pregnency, I had a blood test recently and the doctor told that I have less himoglobin, my doctor has suggested to take mcbm dha, feris 100 tablets but not sure which onw will help in increasing himoglobin.. please suggest

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
DHA is docosahexanoic acid.
It is prescribed in early pregnancy because it helps in the brain development of the baby.
Whereas ferris 100 tablet contains iron.
It helps in improving the hemoglobin levels.
Mild anemia can be treated with medicines.
In case of severe anemia, you may need injectable iron supplements.
Along with tablets taking iron rich foods like green leafy vegetables, fruits, dates, eggs, meat, fish etc should be taken.
