General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Ma am, Hi
Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your concern for the raised GGT levels.
After having gone through the problem and the results of the liver function tests I am of the opinion that the liver enzymes are high reflecting the liver damage.
This could occur from drinking alcohol, gall bladder or pancreas problems.
Livolin forte is a nutritional supplement, it contains a mix of vitamins that are essential to the health of our bodies & is found to be a hepatoprotective drug. However, its efficacy has not been established in reducing the the high levels of GGT.

Its side effects are minimal, however at higher dosage, it may cause a reduced appetite, nausea, abdominal bloating, gastrointestinal pain and diarrhea.

I would like to advise the following to reduce the raised GGT level:

1. Avoid alcohol (if you are consuming it), certain drugs like Acetaminophen as these are proven to damage the liver
2. Avoid eating fatty meals, fast and junk foods
3. Eat a healthy balanced diet rich in proteins and fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water.
4. Take Vitamin E containing supplements
5. Do daily brisk walking exercise for 40 minutes a day to keep fit.
6. Get 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Do Yoga for stress relief.

Regarding the raised cholesterol level you may have to reduce it by using Statin to be prescribed by your treating doctor.

Kindly repeat the liver function tests after 4-6 weeks to check the response of the life style modifications and Livolin forte tablets.

Hope this answers your query. Rate this answer if you are convinced
Wishing you a very good health.
