Does Lisinopril,Metroprolol And Hydrochlorothiozide Cause Dizziness?

I have high blood pressure and take lisinopril, metroprolol and hydrochlorothiozide. Within the last few days, I have been experiencing short-term dizziness, sometimes when getting up in the morning and other times when lying down during a workout. Just now, I lifted a pan to look at the bottom and got a pretty severe momentary dizzying sensation. I should add that I have been experiencing allergic symptoms during this time, which is a common ailment I experience - but I take no medicines for it save for occasional Flonase. Symptoms included sneezing, runny nose and sinus headaches. I have also had dizzy episodes in the past, which always disappeared within a few days.

Hello and thank you for your question.
It would be good to make sure that your blood pressure is not too low. Metoprolol may cause dizziness even if blood pressure is normal but any time you are on a combination of multiple blood pressure medications there is a chance of blood pressures going too low and causing dizziness. There is also something called orthostatic hypotension where your blood pressure drops when you stand up from sitting or lying down. Your doctor can test you for this. In the mean time make sure your blood pressures are not too low and make a follow up with your doctor to let them know what is going on.
