Does Iritis And Pred Forte Drops Cause Anxiety And Grumpiness?
I had Iritis and have been on Pred Forte drops for over 3 weeks. At the highest dosage I was taking a drop every hour, since my pupil had stuck to the lens and did detach once I started the dilation drops. I am better now, but am still taking the drops once a day to taper down without the abrupt stop which my dr. said might cause a relapse.
My question is, would the steroid drops have affected my mood? I have been unusually anxious and grumpy and wondered if the steroids might have something to do with this?

It seems from the history that you are having iritis and you are using predforte for its treatment.
Predforte is a steroid eye drop.
Steroids are known to cause anxiety, mood abnormalities.. But it is less common following use of topical eye drops and it is more common in oral steroids or other form of systemic administration.
If it is so you can apply pressure over the lacrimal punctum to prevent systemic absorption via lacrimal drainage system and even if symptoms continue you need to stop the steroid eye drops and you need to use alternate drugs.
