Does Hypothyroidism Cause Periods To Be Irregular ?

I take 25microgram Levothyroxine and have irregular periods. Does hypothyroidism effect my cycle even if I am taking medication for hypo? I am a 20year old female.

Hi,thanks for query.Yes,it can affect your cycle if in spite of tablets the thyroid level in your body is not normal.Thyroid is biological fuel of the body,it is required for normal functioning of all the systems of body.Get your status checked first,bye.
