Does Hepatitis B Spread With Infected Needle?

good day i have question. the other day, i was accidentally pricked by a needle, which i found out that the patient is hepatitis B reactive. what i did, on the same day i got myself injected with engerix. also got a titer result is 140COI normal is 10COI. would like to ask i'm i safe? or do i need to have hep B immuglobolin? thank you so much for your help.

hepB is usually spread through body secretions ( e.g; semen).

If a person who has been exposed to Hepatitis B virus gets the Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a shot called “HBIG” (Hepatitis B immune globulin) within 24 hours, Hepatitis B infection may be prevented.

you may have tests for hepB virus markers 6 to 8 weeks after the exposure ( accidentally pricked needle episode).
