Does Haldol Cause Hallucinations?
My 94 yr old father has 45 percent heart left, diabetic, in VA hospital and told he has dileriumand are treating him with 2.5 mg of haldol my question is he is hullicinating a lot today! Bugs, seeing cats, people wh are not there! I don’t know if this is caused from haldol or may have another UTI.

usually haloperidol (haldol) is a treatment for hallucinations. If he is having these hallucinations it may be due to another cause. Commonly these are infections (urine or lung). Another cause might be constipation.
