Does FESS Cure Chronic Sinusitis Completely?

My father is 69 year old, non diabetic currently under treatment for enlargement of prostrate (taking dutasteride+ Alfuzosin combination since last four years). Now it enlargement is abt 24g. He is also hypertensive (taking Atenolol). He was sufferring from chronic sinusities. as per his CT scan report, he is having soft tissue formation (WITH BONE EROSION) in Maxillary sinus, along with running nose, thickening of cough. ENT specialist suggests to opt for surgery (FESS). I would like to know that the cost of the surgery in India (planning to shift him CMC vellore, India) and the severity of the disease. Is it completely curable after the surgery? and what are the future risk for the same? How urgent I should go for this surgery?

Surgical management of chronic sinusitis is ndicated in conditions like failure to respond to maximum medical treatment,extensive nasal polyposis,fungal rhinosinusitis.As he is diabetic and hypertensive medical treatment might interfere with diabetic and bp control.Fess surgery is relatively safe in the hands of experts,the chances of cure after fess is satisfactory.Intraoperative risks include bleeding,injury to orbit/optic nerve,csf leak but these are reltively rare.Post op complications includes,crust formation,adhesions whuch are minor and managed on opd basis.Regarding cost generally 50k approximately is charged but can vary depending on institution
