Does Effexor Cause Trochanteric Bursitis In Hip?
hello I had a total hip replacement in august was doing great with physical therapy,was put on Effexor 1 month ago and over did it lifting boxes and squatting doctor says I have throchanteric bursitis in hip. The pain is extremely painful. Is there anyway the Effexor could have caused this?

I doubt we should suspect effexor to be the cause for this, I suspect the overactivity you have been indulging in which should be reduced to a lower level at this stage. Gradual increase in activity should be followed and even years down the line, a certain limit should be maintained. Speak to your doctor about the bursitis management, it is nothing serious and can be taken care of.
