Does Diazepam Interact With Hydrocodone?

If diazepam and hydrocodone have been prescribed by visitation to E R and the person has taken both of them as prescribed is it possible that is a bad combination in that the person is experiencing symptoms for 2 days now the dry heaves, chills at times, very tired, and darkened urine. The person feels she doesn't want to take any more because of the bad side effects she has had. Should she just take the one that is the muscle relaxant and not the one that deals with pain.

hi dear and thanks for your query.
Hydrocodone and diazepam may cause sleepiness and breathing trouble when taken together. This effect is more worrisome in a patient who is just starting to take both drugs. In a patient who has some tolerance to the side effects of either hydrocodone or diazepam, this interaction effect is less likely to happen. My opinion about your question is that the patient should take the pain medication ,and stop taking diazepam.
I hope it was usefull for you my opinion, if you have any question i will be here for you.
