Does Depo Shot Taken During Pregnancy Harm The Baby?

hi! I was 2 months late getting my depo shot that I have been on for at least 4 years now and I did a home pregnancy test after I noticed that my stomach was getting big and that I was starting to feel weird. I found out I m pregnant and I want to know will my baby be okay. When I got the shot it was negative but that was 2 months ago.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the pregnancy was detected after 2 months of taking the depo provera shot, then there will be no adverse effect of the drug on the fetus. You can safely continue with the pregnancy, and get a detailed anomaly ultrasound at 18 weeks of pregnancy to rule out any congenital anomaly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
