Does BP Medicine Cause Dizziness And Lightheadedness?

I had high blood pressure but recently I have been dizzy , and light head and fainty , Could i STOP
the high blood pressure tabs? I have taken my blood pressure 3 times then waited a couple of hours and it still registers low, I think I want to cut my meds in half to see what may happen.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have high blood pressure and you are taking blood pressure medicine , you are also suffering from dizziness . . Well there can be many reasons for headache and dizziness like low blood glucose or iron level , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) , infection , meniere's disease , migraine , neurological , inner ear infection and due to certain medicines such as blood pressure medicines or anti depressants . In your case the probable cause is youe BP medicines . But do not alter dose by yourself . Consult your cardiologist . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe susbtitute according to your condiion . For now take proper reast , avoid bending forward and drink green teat thrice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
