Does Ativan Cause Nausea, Insomnia And Heart Palpitations?

Hello, I had a seizure a couple of weeks ago and have stopped taking the medicine that caused it. The ER doctor gave me some 1 mg Ativan that makes me nauseous, my throat seems to be constricted, no taste buds, insomnia and racing heart. I am very concerned. Why am I experiencing these symptoms?

dear medscape user.you are suffering from the symptoms of anxiety caused secondarily to the medication which caused you seizures.due to stopping it suddenly.
i advice you to book a consult with the neurologist for better treatment as ativan can help a little bit.
