Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Will it be ok to take a 5 mg oxycodone (a one time thing) with my regular 25 mg atenolol tab and isosorb mono E 30mg tab KREM? I take these at night, but I am in a lot of pain and cannot take anti-inflammatories. I am only wanting to take the oxcodone now, one time. I take the other two meds for shortness of breath. I am 90 years old.
this combination is OK for most patients. Oxycodone - as applies for every opioid - may reduce your blood pressure a bit. Atenolol and isosorbide mononitrate also reduce the blood pressure so their effects would be additive. Therefore checking the blood pressure before taking it is strongly recommended!
I hope you find my comments helpful! You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.
Kind Regards!
