Does Atenolol 25 Mg Have Any Side Effects?

Hi. I ve taken atenolol 25mg (half tab) or years now with no issues. For the last 2-3 years my hair has started to fall out from the roots. It does grow, but breaks and falls out really bad. About 3 months ago I started taking half tab chlorthalidone 25mg (half tab) because my blood pressure was beginning to go up. After reading that the atenolol could be the reason my hair falls out; would it be ok to stop the atenolol and start taking a whole 25mg tab chlorthalidone? If so, how long will it take for the atenolol to leave my system and I see less hair fall? Thanks so much for your time.

I do not think Atenelol is the cause for hair fall in your cause, because if Atenelol is the reason for your hair fall, hair fall might have happened from the beginning and not from 2 years

There are many causes for hair fall. Anemia, thyroid, systemic illness, hair follicle inflammation, scalp infections can cause hairfall.

Get a routine health examination done and see if anything is deficient.
