Does Antabuse Cause Side Effects After Resuming Alcohol Consumption?

My son is on antabuse and we came home today and he has been drinking. Why is he not suffering from side effects. We stand with him at least fro 5 minutes when we give it to him and aks to see under his tongue.
Don't quite know what is going on?
Please help

Ok, first, the antabuse has to build up over a few days to be effective. Second, the results of it are highly variable and not everyone gets side effects and the amount of them varies. Furthermore it is QUITE common for people to keep drinking even with the side effects.
