Does AKT 3 Cause Pimples On Face And How To Treat It?

hello !!! i am on akt 3 how bad is it for d skin .... i hav way too many pimples on my face n chest , when otherwise i hav extremly clean skin ... i have taken a course of akt 4 n akt 3 in 2009 , n npw my dr says im still alive with d bugg .. so now i fin akt 4 in nov ( for 2 mnths) and now on akt3 sine nov end ... how long is my skin goin to be bad wht do i do

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic.

You seem to have drug induced acneform eruption, which is a common side effect of the Isoniazid component of Anti-Tubercular Treatment (ATT).
Isoniazid induced acneform eruption is treated in the same way as acne, in general.
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel during day time.
For night time application, I would have suggested a topical retinoid e.g adapalene gel.
These are prescription drugs and therefore I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region.
