General & Family Physician, Dr. Praveen's Response
Hi dear.Welcome to HCM & thanks for posting me the query. I were to advise therapeutic life style changes- dietary control and exercise at this stage to postpone the occurrence of diabetes since you have a strong family history.Fasting sugars <130 are normal and sugars < 200 are normal measured 2 hours after food.Since your sugars are well within the normal range you need not panic.Hope this answers your query. All the best.Stay healthy and stay fit.
