Do Symptoms Such As Sore Throat And Migraines Indicate Tonsil Stones?

I believe I have tonsil stones, because for the past few years, I've been coughing and gagging out white foul-smelling solid pus from my throat, and I would have have a sore throat. I also have recurring migraines, and wondered if having tonsil stones is a big factor of it.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms such as sore throat and migraines. Well the symptoms like sore throat and migraine not necessarily means tonsil stone . There can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis ,ear infection , strep throat or viral pharyngitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan along with physical examination and taking history . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory , decongestant and expectorant . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine ,who may prescribe vasograin , furosemide and beta blockers . For now do warm saline gargles several times a day .
