Do Stress And Anxiety Cause Lumps Under My Arms

Hello, my name is Katie. I suffer from anxiety but I m not taking any medications for it. Lately I have had more attacks and been under a lot of pressure and I have noticed that I have started getting these lumps under my arm pits that look like a pimple but much larger. Could this be from all the stress and anxiety or do you think something else could be causing this?

Thank you for the query.

It can be caused by increased stress level. Please note that when you are more stresses, you do sweat more. This gives more moisture in the armpit area. Moisturized and warm environment is a great place for bacteria growth. So this might be the reason of you pimples like lumps.
Shaving with non-sterilized shaver can also cause such lumps due to hair follicle infection.
I suggest you to try to keep this area clean and dry. If this wont help, please consult dermatologist.
