Do Side Effects Lipitor Include Increase Of Cancer Risk?
What are the serious side effects of 80 mg Lipitor ? Have been reading about the increase in cancer within the first month of taking this drug . The information came from Phizer in their clinical trials , states in black and white the larger then normal increase in cancer at the 80 mg level . Anyone want to refute that and explain why senior citizens are being prescribed these stains that lower their cholesterol and leave them susceptible to debilitating diseases and death !

Hi many studies provided adequate evidence for safety of statins. Every drug has got some side effects. The benefits of using a statin clearly outweighs the rare risks. If you are not using statin when you need, you are risking 1in 10 chances of getting a stroke for the fear of 1in 10000 chance of getting a cancer.
